I doubt if most people sit back and take an objective view of their lives. Most are too lazy or unaware of this option. Another question would be "why would JW women stay in it". Social pressure and a fear of the unknown is my guess. I a man could not did not want to imagine a world that wasn't the JW promised paradise and with it no death. So I stuck my head in the sand. Maybe JW women do the same.

by blondie inthose still attending the book study will see that this week's lesson concentrates on the impending destruction of christendom and how they are represented by edom/esau in how they persecute god's people represented by israel.

They only care if they get caught and onl then they are sorry, sorry they got caught. They think that no one will find out and if they do they can spin it and put the blame on us.

Blood Part 04 - Organ transplants: cannibalism
by JanH inorgan transplants: cannibalism!.
as with blood, the wts originally had no objections to organ transplants.
in a questions from readers section in the watchtower, aug. 1, 1961, page 480, the question about organ transplants is answered pointedly:.

Wonder what the Society circu 1972 would think of pig's valves being used in heart surgery? Patients that go "oink oink?" My father had this option along with using a steel valve instead. The pig's valve lasts a shorter time but it does not require blood thining medication. My father opted for the more longer lasting steel valve. It was thought that with his age it was better to use steel than to risk surgery latter in his life when a pig's valve would wear out. My father went into elective surgery in 1998 for a pace maker. There was fear he would bleed to death as he was on his thining medication (no blood transfusions allowed) so he was taken off his medication. The operation was preformed sucessfully. And 3 days before he was scheduled to go home a clot formed in his heart and he had a massive heart attack destroying his heart. It took 3 days for him to slowly and painfully die. These WTBTS leaders are criminal murderers and should be tried as such. They have no qualifications in anything medical or anything else for that matter. Dave

Women should be silent in the congregation?
by writerpen inokay, since i've been attending a new church, i've had the opportunity to sit on three committees.
i've gone hog wild and volunteered for everything trying to make up for all the years that i couldn't do anything as a female in the kh.
anyway, last night i stirred the shit in one of the meetings by voicing my opinion on how something in the church is run.

To the 13th Apostle:
There seems to be a 90% probability that opposites attract. I think it is the sexual tension between these two different kinds of people that is interpeted subconsciencely as true love. -

Does Ray Franz owe us an apology?
by sleepy in(not, ray franz owes us an apology) .
(ok lets add this on)do those who are or were governing body members have a greater amount of responsability than witnesses in general?at what point do we stop being victims and become instigaters?
this may have been discussed before but i'm not sure.so sorry if it has.

Thanks for mentioning the JW mindset. Part of what is missing in allot of JW's/XJW's is forgiveness. We were never taught much about that because guilt from "not serving Jehovah whole souled" hung over our heads. It was placed there by the Society for selfish reasons. Even the word 'Grace' was removed from the Witness Bible and replaced with the paraphrase "the undeserved kindness of Christ". How clever was that. If something is "undeserved" should you ask for it? The WTBTS is diabolical and the JW mindset is unforgiving.

Shoulda done this when I left...
by truthseeker1 ini should have done this when i left:.
during my last talk, give it real sarcastic.
perhaps talk about the un and really emphasize about how the wt says they are no part of it, then read excerpts of the un letter.

I did flame my Hall during my last talk. I had to be careful so I could get through it without being escorted off the platform. It is surprising what you can get away with if you appear concerned and kind. I chose the problems of the 1st Century Witnesses and likened them to the 20th Century Witnesses. So much for our "Spiritual Paradise."

He apologised years ago. I believe in forgiveness and not the eternal hell of never ending guilt. His 2 books liberated me and when he passes away I will travel the many miles and stand besides many of you here.

Apostate terminology
by Mum inmy daughter and i, fun-loving apostates that we are, have some terms we use regarding the wt organization and other cults.
i would like my fellow posters here to tell us their terms, buzz words, etc., to add to our list: to get the ball rolling, two of our favorites are:.
cookie-cutter theology.

I like Kent's "Witchpower Bable and Crap Society" and Gary Busselman's "The Theochronic Misery School". The great Farkel's "Babylon the Grape". Then there is the generic J-Dubs or Dubs. The humor of it is healing, don't you think?

Why do so many people believe that jesus is god?
by Legendary U.2.K. ini still say that, christiaity is f--- up in these last days.. christianity teaches that the messiah is god, when the bible clearly points out that jesus is a prophet sent by god... jesus prayed to god<----that's the biggest proof... so i think if anybody believe that jesus is god, is not only an'-ti-christ(not accepting) but also a liar, foolish, and you knoweth nothing, and you are not close to god or christ, you are closer to that devil which we call satan....

When I left the JW's all the doctrinal issues plagued me. So I looked into what the other side said about them and not just the WTBTS condenced and altered version. I was surprised at the depth of the arguments. Try several Pro Trinity sources and individuals in the know. It will be interesting for you.
